Storybook Houses

Around Thanksgiving the 8th grade Independent Study students began creating their version of a storybook-type house out of clay. The final products came out of the kiln today and they look great!....just see for yourself!

Starry Night

The 8th Grade Independent Study students have been very busy making their own replica of Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. Each of them had the chance to choose their own medium to use. Shown is the incredible final product, as well as a picture of the original painting.

Blocks with a Message

The 6th graders have been working on gauging (finding angles). In our latest project, they gauged blocks and put a message on them. Here are some really cute block projects!

Still-Life Drawings (and paintings)

The 7th grade students have been learning about value and how that value can change once they begin working with color. Shown here are value sketches, colored pencil sketches, and watercolor paintings of the still-lifes in the classroom.

Still-Life Drawings

The 6th graders have been learning all kinds of new tools that can help them draw their still-life drawings. Here are a few really nice value sketches they have done. Nice job Meghan and Sierra!
