Impressionism

I love student work with chalk pastels. We use chalk when we look at Impressionism and I encourage the kids to show their, "brushstrokes" in their work. They work from landscape photos. This project is a fun way to end the trimester with a great class!

    what brand of chalk pastels did you use? Those look great, nice and rich in color!

      These are Dick Blick student grade chalk pastels.

    your work with your students is outstanding!
    I get a lot of ideas from the work shown here for older students. Don't be encouraged by the facts you get little comments- i always adore your creativity and results! Thank you for sharing!
